Privacy Policy

Last updated 18 September 2026

Who we are

Geotest Group("we", "us") runs this website. This policy explains what personal information we collect through it, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect

  • Details you give us when you fill in a form, call, email or message us: your name, phone number, email address, the address or suburb of the job, a description of the work, and any photos or files you choose to send.
  • A record of our conversations with you about an enquiry or a job, and the quotes and invoices that follow from it.
  • Technical information our website and its tools collect automatically: the type of device and browser you use, the pages you look at, the site that referred you, and an approximate location worked out from your IP address.

You do not have to give us any personal information, but without a way to reach you we cannot reply to an enquiry or quote for a job.

Why we collect it

  • To reply to your enquiry, give you a quote and carry out the work you ask for.
  • To invoice you, keep the records a business must keep, and follow up after a job, which may include asking how we did.
  • To understand how people use the website so we can improve it.
  • To keep the website secure and filter out spam and automated form submissions.
  • To meet our legal obligations.

We do not use your information for any unrelated purpose without your agreement, and we never sell it.

Cookies and analytics

The website may use cookies and similar technologies, including tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager and the Meta (Facebook) pixel, to measure visits and the results of our advertising, and Cloudflare Turnstile to tell people from automated spam on our forms. These tools may collect the technical information described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work, although some measurements will not.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers that help us run the website and the business, and only as much as they need to do that job: our website developer and host (Vander Studio), the services that deliver our email, protect our forms from spam, and measure website traffic, and the software we use for quotes, invoicing and accounts. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.

Where it is stored

This website and the enquiries sent through it are stored on secure servers in Sydney, Australia. Some of our service providers store or process information in other countries, including the United States. When information goes overseas we take reasonable steps to make sure the people receiving it protect it in a way that, overall, gives safeguards comparable to those in the Privacy Act 2020.

How long we keep it and how we protect it

We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above, including the records the law requires a business to keep, and then delete it. We protect it with reasonable safeguards: encrypted connections to this website, access limited to the people who need it, and providers who hold themselves to recognised security standards. No method of storing or sending information is completely secure, and if a breach happens that is likely to cause serious harm we will tell you and the regulator as the law requires.

Seeing and correcting your information

Under Information Privacy Principles 6 and 7 of the Privacy Act 2020 you can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. Contact us using the details below. We will respond within 20 working days, and we may need to confirm who you are before we share anything.

Complaints

If you think we have mishandled your personal information, please tell us first so we can put it right. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at www.privacy.org.nz.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always on this page, with the date it last changed at the top.

Session recording

This site uses Microsoft Clarity to record how pages are used: mouse movement, scrolling, clicks and taps, the pages visited, and general device and browser details. The recordings are played back as a reconstruction of the page, not as video of your screen, and they are used to see where the site is confusing or slow so it can be improved.

Anything typed into a form is hidden before it is recorded. Every field on this site is marked as masked, so names, phone numbers, email addresses and messages are replaced with placeholder characters before anything is sent. What you type is not readable in a recording.

Microsoft processes this information as our provider, and holds it outside New Zealand under its own privacy statement. If you would rather not be recorded, block clarity.ms in your browser or with an ad blocker. The site works normally either way.
